👩‍🍳How do you eat BBQ Squid?

Pan-fried squid over the stove, using olive oil turning until browned on both sides. Then add BBQ sauce which I bought from the farmers’ market a homemade sauce that tasted Lettland. Season with salt and pepper if needed to adjust the taste. Garnish with scallions, and serve with fried rice for dinner for two. To achieve a tender texture, you have to remember that it does not take squid to cook very long. Anything in between will make the squid rubbery. Another fusion of Filipino and Lettland.

YOU NEED…….

some Olive Oil or any Vegetable Oil

1kg Squid, small ones

about 3tbsps. of homemade BBQ sauce

some Scallions

🌏SQUID IN OYSTER SAUCE WITH PEARL ONION AND YOUNG CORN 👩🏼‍🍳iCook

👩‍🍳Inspired by my daughter. She remembered the one I cooked in 2012 with pork belly. But I don’t have pork belly at home so I cooked it with young corn, pearl onion, and green chilies seasoned with oyster sauce. But if my son is at home I don’t add oyster sauce because he’s allergic to it. It turned out good the fusion of sweet pearl onion and young corn is so good with the squid. It’s a bit spicy as per request by my daughter. She loves it spicy. Maybe you can try and tell me your thoughts about this. Another recipe creation directly from my humble kitchen.

YOU NEED…….

300g Squid, cleaned

some Olive Oil, or any Vegetable Oil

4 cloves Garlic

5 pieces of Chilis not spicy

a handful of Pearl Onion

8 pieces of Young Corn, from Glass

2tbsps. Tomato Paste, alternative fresh tomato

2tbsps. Oyster Sauce

some Chili Flakes, optional

some Salt

👩‍🍳Eggplant has many health benefits to offer. Good for diabetics may help cells do a better job of processing sugar just like me. And best of all low in calories and sodium and is a great source of dietary fiber. I often eat eggplant. Today I cooked it with squid and a bit spicy. About 6 pieces of Squid, cleaned

400ml Coconut Milk

4 pieces of Eggplant

some Olive Oil

3 pieces of Green Chillis, spicy or not spicy according to your preferences.

1 Onion, I used Red Onion

Ginger

4 cloves Garlic

some Salt

Fish Sauce or Patis

Chilli Flakes, optional
