🇵🇭DAING NA BANGUS (Milk Fish)- LUGAW (RicePorridge) WITH PORK LOIN IN UMAMI SAUCE & TOFU – SAUTEED CHAYOTE👩🏻‍🍳iCook

👩‍🍳”Kamayan na”, eating by hands no fork and spoon. Fried daing na Bangus, boiled okra and eggplant, spring onion and tomato, bagoong with chilli, and basmati rice. For breakfast, rice porridge (lugaw) topped with tofu and pork loin in umami sauce. Then my sauteed chayote with broccoli, carrot and ground meat, seasoned with mushroom sauce for lunch and dinner too. I love it, very Filipino. That’s all for today’s meal prepping at home.

TAGALOG: 👩‍🍳Pagkaing kinalakihan kung saan naging tao. Masarap at masustansiya rin na nakakapagbigay tulong sa ating kalusugan. Huwag lamang sobrahan gaya ng bagoong. 🌏MALUNGGAY NOODLE SOUP AT HAM -MORINGA NOODLE SOUP WITH HAM 👩🏻‍🍳iCook

👩‍🍳Because of curiosity, my first time to try this moringa noodle which I got from Himalayan Shop. Cooked in a soup and topped with sliced ham which I boiled in Orange juice from a Tetra pack. Served with half boiled egg and with vegetables too. Never stop me to experiment with different food fusions. Discovering a lot of new ingredients (for me) from the market, but prepared using flavours inherent to another culture is the considered form of fusion cuisine just like this. FOR BROTH:

100g Chicken Bones

some Water

some Celery Stem only

Bay Leaves

Thumb-size Ginger

1 Onion

some Pepper Corns

Salt for seasoning

1 Chinese Cabbage/ Napa Cabbage

Snow peas, a handful

🌍🌏REPOLYONG MATULIS (POINTED CABBAGE) SPITZKRAUT IN GERMAN

👩‍🍳How healthy is pointed cabbage? In german “Spitzkraut” or in Tagalog “matulis na repolyo”. Healthy and low in calories. Since it contains a lot of fibre, it stimulates digestion. In addition, pointed cabbage contains a lot of so-called ascorbigen, which is converted into vitamin C during cooking. With only 20 kilocalories per 100 grams, it is also – like all types of cabbage – very low in calories. The reason why we love this type of cabbage here. Especially, my hubby, use add it in “Bulalo”, “Nilagang Karne” (Boiled Meat) or even in “sinigang na buto-buto” (Bones in sour soup). Me I love to make a salad out of it during summertime. Pointed cabbage is related to white cabbage but tastes much better. It owes its name to its shape the pointed cabbage grows pointed at the top. Today I added to glass noodle or Sotanghon mix with Udon noodle Japanese style.

👩‍🍳They said that fried rice most likely originated in China as a method of using up leftover rice. It’s been a while since we had any style of fried rice. I am too excited. This was an experiment with a new recipe for fried rice. Added leftover spareribs, garlic and yellow bell pepper which I got from Hofer. I have a lot of different varieties of fried rice on my blog. Most are pure experiments, maybe you can check it out if you’re looking for a recipe.

🌏SEAWEED FRIED RICE/ RICE AND SHINE TODAY

👩‍🍳Another experiment from my little kitchen was my first time to try adding or tossing some seaweed with some summer vegetables fried rice. It turned out good but for me, the seaweed was not enough. Next time I will add more. For more taste. Served with smoke mackerel and my homemade kimchi dinner for two as usual. Have a try Guys and let me know your thoughts.

MY DOGS

VISIT TO ENGELHARTSTETTEN| BROWNIE OUR DOGGY🐶

We went to ENGELHARTSTETTEN in Nietherösterreich, to visit Brownie our doggy who lives by my friend Luz. It‘s been a while since I brought my doggy to Luz. I think it is four years ago. We miss this doggy so much. He always sleeps with hubby he likes to be close to him. Can sleep well around hubby. Where ever hubby goes around he follows him. I remember the time he‘s still a baby dog he always sleeps on hubby’s lap especially by watching tv. He loves belly rubs simply because he feels good. Now he‘s seven years of age the third son of our dogs Riyad and Riyana. The trust he gives to us is an indication of his deep love for us. Thank you so much ate Luz for taking care of Brownie. We will miss this doggy always.
