👩🍳I found this stand at the farmers’ market in Naschmarkt selling different homemade organic sauces. I got myself some of their sauces for me to try at home. And today I tried their Umami sauce for my pork loin with cauliflower rice and scallions. It turned out good I added some honey too. Guys check out their shop online and they have Instagram and Facebook accounts too.
👩🍳Popular history says that it was invented in China and that Marco Polo brought the knowledge of this food to Venice. The spaghetti Polo encountered in the far east was made from either rice flour or hard wheat flour. Italian dried spaghetti is made from durum wheat semolina, but outside of Italy, it may be made with other kinds of flour. Here is another pasta spaghetti of recipe I want to share with you out of my preferences and creation from my humble kitchen.
YOU NEED…….
250g Spaghetti
150g Chicken Thighs Fillet
200g Feta Cheese
a handful of Green Peas, frozen or fresh
a cup of White Sauce, alternative milk but make it thicker mixing with Cornstarch
👩🍳The best time for dinner is between 5pm and 7pm. This gives the stomach and intestines enough time to digest the food they eat before the metabolism switches to sleep mode at night. The stress of the day is over, and the work is done. But in our case, if you are working from 11:30 before noontime until 10pm then you travel on the way home we need almost 30 minutes. Arrive at home almost half an hour before 11 pm then I have to cook for dinner. But luckily tonight I was already at around 6 pm so I have enough time to prepare our meal. So for tonight’s meal every Filipino, sinigang with Sea Bream and Shrimps, and fried squid. For dessert, I made a fruit cocktail with sour cream and grapes. Hubby is happy and of course my tummy too. I love the vegetables that it goes with this viand. happy prepping everyone.
👩🍳Eggplant has many health benefits to offer. Good for diabetics may help cells do a better job of processing sugar just like me. And best of all low in calories and sodium and is a great source of dietary fiber. I often eat eggplant. Today I cooked it with squid and a bit spicy. This year we don’t have eggplant in our Terrace Urban garden, unlike last year. Check out my Playlist under:⬇️
TERRACE URBAN GARDENING/ FROM FARM TO THE TABLE
On YOUTUBE.
YOU NEED…….
About 6 pieces of Squid, cleaned
400ml Coconut Milk
4 pieces of Eggplant
some Olive Oil
3 pieces of Green Chillis, spicy or not spicy according to your preferences.
👩🍳With the fried rice with vegetables, only good things end up on the plate. Broccoli packs plenty of health benefits. while chicken thighs provide plenty of protein power. And thanks to provitamin A, carrots are good for our skin. It’s one meal you can’t ask for more.
Tempura Sardines with homemade Achara
Sardines fillet is breaded with Tempura and served with homemade Achara from my niece. Of course with rice, because we are Filipino. Achara is made from grated unripe Papaya originating from my country- the Philippines. This dish is often served as an accompaniment to fried or grilled foods, such as roast pork also to fish.
👩🍳The yellowish rice of Iloilo because of turmeric powder has to reach Vienna today. Remember my late mother who is fun of cooking this dish during all saints day or in Tagalog But my version is totally different from “Pista ng Minatay”. But my version is totally different from her. I don’t add meat like a chicken. I love this just purely kind seafood added. The Ilonggo’s undying love for their famous glutinous rice dish is a complete meal actually. With carbohydrates, protein and vitamins & minerals in just one spoonful. How about you do you love Valenciana too, how is your version of this? Let me know in the comment section down here.
👩🍳”Kamayan na”, eating by hands no fork and spoon. Fried daing na Bangus, boiled okra and eggplant, spring onion and tomato, bagoong with chilli, and basmati rice. For breakfast, rice porridge (lugaw) topped with tofu and pork loin in umami sauce. Then my sauteed chayote with broccoli, carrot and ground meat, seasoned with mushroom sauce for lunch and dinner too. I love it, very Filipino. That’s all for today’s meal prepping at home.
👩🍳How healthy is pointed cabbage? In german “Spitzkraut” or in Tagalog “matulis na repolyo”. Healthy and low in calories. Since it contains a lot of fibre, it stimulates digestion. In addition, pointed cabbage contains a lot of so-called ascorbigen, which is converted into vitamin C during cooking. With only 20 kilocalories per 100 grams, it is also – like all types of cabbage – very low in calories. The reason why we love this type of cabbage here. Especially, my hubby, use add it in “Bulalo”, “Nilagang Karne” (Boiled Meat) or even in “sinigang na buto-buto” (Bones in sour soup). Me I love to make a salad out of it during summertime. Pointed cabbage is related to white cabbage but tastes much better. It owes its name to its shape the pointed cabbage grows pointed at the top. Today I added to glass noodle or Sotanghon mix with Udon noodle Japanese style.
👩🍳They said that fried rice most likely originated in China as a method of using up leftover rice. It’s been a while since we had any style of fried rice. I am too excited. This was an experiment with a new recipe for fried rice. Added leftover spareribs, garlic and yellow bell pepper which I got from Hofer. I have a lot of different varieties of fried rice on my blog. Most are pure experiments, maybe you can check it out if you’re looking for a recipe.
👩🍳Of course, every correct menu also includes a soup. You are spoiled for choice when it comes to soup recipes – the selection is simply huge. And the best thing about it – many soup recipes are relatively easy to prepare with little effort. This is my version of udon chicken soup with broccoli, cauliflower and pechay. The most important thing in the preparation is the broth. Here I used Vegetable broth.
Udon-Chicken Soup
The rest were simple prepping my boiled banana in the rice cooker for snack or merienda. Hubby’s crispy knuckle of pork which he enjoyed eating with his own choice of dip namely; Toyomansi, (Soy sauce and Calamansi Juice) ginger and onion.
