๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡นHALLSTATT, AUSTRIA

The first time we visited Hallstatt, Austria I think sometime in May 2018 with my daughter and followed in June of the same year with a friend from Barcelona and his sister whoโ€˜s living in Vienna too. World heritage. From the skywalk, Charnel house, salt mine, romantic lakes- a paradise for culture and nature lovers like us.

Jenโ€˜s, my niece first snow experience with Lizette, hubbyโ€™s colleagues daughter. Coming from a tropical country like these two girls how do they feel seeing snow for the first time?

This video down here says it all.โฌ‡๏ธ๐Ÿคฃ

The ancient salt mine village, with a unique culture, a breath-taking mountain setting and with a lot of nature the world heritage region. The skywalk, Charnel house (Osuary), saltmine and the romantic lakes said to be paradise for nature lovers.

Today it’s holiday, celebrating the assumption of the blessed virgin Mary.  But I’m on duty and take note with normal working hours, eight hours duty. But We had fun at work with my colleagues. Sima brought us today some fruits to share with. She came late at work for one hour and I was telling her up to now she ‘s allowed to come late at work as long as she will bring us something to eat just like today. ๐Ÿ˜€

Sima’s fruits brought at work today! – iCookiTravel

Fruits such as ripe mango, just like our very own Philippine Mangoes , “yung hinog ang tamis-tamis”! Sa akin yung buto na dalawang piraso, (not in picture). Nectarines, Melon or sugar Melon and Grapes. What a great time to spend breaktime at work with colleagues like her. I’m so fortunate indeed! By the way, Sima is from India, not Austrian but living here in vienna for more than a decade too.

From Internet: “Forget five a day, eat 10 portions of fruit and veg to cut risk of early death.” ๐Ÿ˜€

Annemarie brought her twenty pieces boiled eggs. We got sliced brown bread. Mama Rada brought pickled bell peppers spicy and none spicy, pickled cabbage, pickled green tomatoes, her baked proja with vegetables, cheese and yoghurt. And “KAYMAK” a cheese which I love most topped on mixed salad. KAYMAK- a creamy dairy product made from milk of water cows, sheep or goats. It has a high percentage of milk fat, typically about sixty percent. And has a thick, creamy consistency and a rich taste. It is the one in red tupper ware a white cheese! As you could see in the picture above. From these region: Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey, Bulgaria, Herzegovina, Iraq, and Iran.

Ajvar from Mumo the red one in a glass. And Dragica bought sliced smoked meat and sausage from her sister back home. What a wonderful time having dinner together just like one family at work.

HEALTHY EATING AT WORK EP3

We spend most of our waking hours at work, so it is no surprise that our workplace nutrition habits have major impact on our health. It has been said that proper workplace nutrition can help us get ahead! Bringing home-cooked food at work is more healthier than indulging on unhealthy junk food. It is the same with choosing balanced snacks and diet. Like fat-free yogurt, fresh veggies, and driking bottled water instead of coca cola, juices, Zero-calorie drinks and energy drinks. That is the reason why we choose to bring our food at work for us to eat together as healthy as we can.

There are wide variety of regional variations of Burek, pumpkin burek is one among them could be prepare either salty or sweet.

HEALTHY EATING AT WORK EP2

Teambuilding while eating together, is our motto. Maci (colleague) brought our dinner for tonight. As usual everybody are happy not only our tummy. A week ago, her only son got married so this is a sort of a treat for us.

Our Buffet
Our Buffet

She brought us these cold cuts/ sliced assorted cold cooked meat, we ate with bread a typical Austrian meals. Typical Austrian cuisine is rather substantial, consisting of large amounts of meat! And also Sarma a dish found frequently in Turkish cuisine. It consists primarily of cabbage or grape leaves wrapped around a filling and boiled for hours before serving. This filling is typically made using minced or diced meat, often pork, beef, or veal, which is combined with rice and other seasonings for flavor like Vegeta. Though sarma is prominent in Turkish cooking, it can be found in various parts of Central Europe such as Slovenia and Croatia.

Tea & Fruits

We also had tea and fruits which was preapared by Hana for the whole group. Tea was a mixture of different herbs and lemon. She also prepared a ginger tea, my favorite among her tea range.

Dessert & Sweet
Dessert & Sweet

Photos above dessert and sweet for those who need it. I said so, for dibetic like me would be enough with fresh fruits! We are used to other cultures and lifestyles. As you can see with our healthy eating at work compared to epesode 1.

HEALTHY EATING AT WORK EP1

Eating alone is like masturbation! While afterward relaxed but not really satisfied. Maybe the reason is no social contact and you miss countless opportunities to make new contacts with colleagues or deepen old. Which you could make during lunch break or even merienda time. To learn the company better and know probably an important thing the more could help you in your job. Base on my experience at present job nothing could be better than eating together during break time.

TUNA CAKE
TUNA CAKE

Tuna Cake by Zlatinka, so good that we all asked her for recipe but until now I have not tried it yet at home. Eating together at work with colleagues acting on efficiency and creativity, but is not always positive. If you want to work efficiently, a lunch is rather unfavorable. If it is a matter of finding creative solutions, can a meal be advisable. So take it away from me Folks!
