🇦🇹HELLO VIENNA | GASTRONOMIC ADVENTURE AT TACO MEXICAN RESTAURANT AT SHOPPING CITY SÜD

👩‍🍳Coming back to Vienna after six weeks’ vacation from the Philippines. We had our Breakfast at Le Crobag. Because I landed at the airport at seven in the morning. Then we went shopping until the afternoon. After shopping, we had our dinner at Taco Mexican Restaurant in Shopping City Süd. Large selection of food and drinks. The dishes are prepared quickly and are of good quality. Value for money is absolutely fine. A visit can be recommended with a clear conscience. Another Gastronomic Adventure the whole day.

👩‍🍳They said that fried rice most likely originated in China as a method of using up leftover rice. It’s been a while since we had any style of fried rice. I am too excited. This was an experiment with a new recipe for fried rice. Added leftover spareribs, garlic and yellow bell pepper which I got from Hofer. I have a lot of different varieties of fried rice on my blog. Most are pure experiments, maybe you can check it out if you’re looking for a recipe.

„Eating as medicine“. 👩‍🍳Low-carb power breakfast with berries for today’s meal prepping video. An anti-inflammatory and superfood breakfast. The seeds not only fill you up, but they also provide plenty of energy for the day. They are among the foods richest in fibre and promote intestinal activity. Besides, their glycemic index is very low, and so they have a balancing effect on the blood sugar level. The ideal breakfast for diabetics and good for fatty liver!

CHEESY HOTDOG QUESADILLAS

👩‍🍳Quesadillas are particularly easy to produce, very inexpensive, surprisingly filling and tasty. They only consist of tortillas with a melted cheese filling. Preferably mozzarella, cheddar and today I used gouda cheese. Hot dog that got in here is product from Philippines. It belong to national dishes from Central America like partly in Mexico. I said partly because this country lies mainly in North America proper and part of Mexico must be included in Central America.

👨‍🍳The difference between frankfurters and Vienna sausage is not Frankfurt. These are two different types of sausages. Worlds of food explains what the Frankfurter and Vienna sausages are all about and which came first. A frankfurter is a thin boiled sausage made from pure pork. But the muslim made frankfurter out of beef meat.And this usually we can get from Turkey shop also the flatbread. In contrast to the Frankfurter sausages, Vienna sausage consists of pork and beef. That’s what we had for brekky today.

You asked what’s today’s brekky? Here it is, pork „ adobo“ fried rice. It was the left over from hubby’s pork belly „adobo“ the other day. Then, I cooked the fried rice, with lots of crushed garlic, and the rice was stirred in the pork adobo sauce and few fat meat and some salt for more taste. „Eating as Medicine.“ Started my day with Ginseng tea, help against fatigue and prevent cold. The root is proven tonic, which strengthens the immune system, and stimulates the metabolism makes the body generally more resistant to stress and other harmful influences. I drink this tea haft an hour before breakfast.

Smashed banana with yogurt and chia seed

Then had my brekky smashed banana with yogurt and chia seed. An hour after meal I drink turmeric tea, has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and is therefore used to prevent and treat diseases such as the metabolic syndrome or cancer. Turmeric also has a strong antioxidant effect.

YOU NEED…….

2pcs Banana

2tbsp Chia seeds

250g Yogurt with 1% fat

Ashitaba tea

Drink Ashitaba tea, two hours after meal. Ashitaba has been claimed to be an anti-oxidant, anti- cancer and anti- diabetic agent.

Pak choi with Sardines and Apple

For lunch I just had Pak Choi with Sardines and Apple. No carb at all. After that had my Oolong tea specially in the afternoon. Oolong tea prevented fatty liver induced high fat diet.

🇪🇺🇵🇭WHAT‘S ON THE TABLE

Throwback, some of my home food prepping during the time my cousin Gie and her son was with us. During their Europe vacation.

That was linner, the first meal I prepared for my cousin Gie and her son. Oven trout, salad, Sarma ( stuffed cabbage), and knuckle of pork (Stelze) and because we are Filipinos rice is a must!

Here again brekky with boiled Frankfurter, toast bread, strawberry in sour cream, coffee and tea. The time my cousin Gie and her son took their vacation in Vienna. Of course my doggy Mary and Riyad also on the picture.

My spaghetti requested by Noah, Gie’s son (cousin). Bolognese is the sauce I made for them with grana padano cheese plus salad and sliced apples. Someone requested for coffee and tea too.

Food memories brekky a la Pinoy (Filipino) too heavy never again! Imagine; fried rice, longganisa, fried tuyo, scrambled eggs, sunny side egg, and for dipping vinegar with chili spicy of course plus tea and coffee Jesus Christ! What unhealthy life style never again!

This brekky was adapted from Saif’s prepping, my daughter‘s friend who‘s from India 🇮🇳 I just added fish balls for a twist. Yields 3 to 4 persons.

225g Fish balls

Coriander, a handful chopped

Parsley’s, a handful chopped

3pcs. Tomatoe, medium-sized

2pcs. Onion

Optional, Banana 🍌 sliced
