But these are small Restaurants in the city that are run by Asian people whom we love to try from time to time. Exempted is the Vegan ice which is run by Austrian and the Krah Krah Restaurant in the First District of Vienna which I tried with my ex-colleague. The next one is one of our favourite Restaurants near Naschmarkt. With authentic Asian Cuisine. Restaurant Chinazentrum Zhong Xin For more than 15 years they have been spoiling guests from all over the world with traditional Chinese food and drinks at the Naschmarkt in 1060 Vienna. A Far Eastern ambience awaits you in our restaurant. “Zhongxin” means centre and their first location from 2002-to 2014 was on Rechte Wienzeile 29, 1040 Vienna. In 2014 they relocated to 1060 Vienna. Take the opportunity on days when not everyone comes up with the idea of โ€‹โ€‹going to the zoo, then you have the opportunity to go for a walk without being disturbed by the crowds. That’s what we did just to unwind from the city with COVID-19. Almost two months lockdown. Hiking and any other sort of physical activity is a great way to unwind from the stresses. In order to prevent blood sugar fluctuations when hiking or physical activities, diabetes patients should protect themselves by taking regular measurements. Hiking is particularly popular in splendid weather, although hiking is also very suitable for people with diabetes. However, diabetes patients must take care that they prevent severe fluctuations in blood sugar. Because exercise and physical exertion can both lower and increase blood sugar.

You only need four ingredients namely instant coffee, hot water, sugar and cold milk. You can use whisk or hand mixer to beat the coffee and sugar until light and fluffy. It has been said originated from India, Macao and Pakistan. It has a silky taste along the bitter taste of coffee, for me. Have a try Folks!๐Ÿคช

Growing your own bean sprouts at home at its simplest! Sprouting Ming beans can take anywhere, depending how big you want them. Here she tried the smallest mung bean sheโ€™s unhappy with the result because the sprouts are too short and small. But anyway I cooked it with potatoes ๐Ÿฅ” and carrots ๐Ÿฅ• plus celery stem and we finished it. At least it taste good๐Ÿ˜‹

250g Mung bean for bean sprouts

some Vegetable Oil

about two sliced Pork shoulder

1 Onion ๐Ÿง…

3 cloves Garlic ๐Ÿง„

1 big Carrot ๐Ÿฅ•

2 Celery stem

3 Potatoes ๐Ÿฅ”

200ml Vegetable broth seasoned with salt



Throwback, some of my home food prepping during the time my cousin Gie and her son was with us. During their Europe vacation.

That was linner, the first meal I prepared for my cousin Gie and her son. Oven trout, salad, Sarma ( stuffed cabbage), and knuckle of pork (Stelze) and because we are Filipinos rice is a must!

Here again brekky with boiled Frankfurter, toast bread, strawberry in sour cream, coffee and tea. The time my cousin Gie and her son took their vacation in Vienna. Of course my doggy Mary and Riyad also on the picture.

My spaghetti requested by Noah, Gie’s son (cousin). Bolognese is the sauce I made for them with grana padano cheese plus salad and sliced apples. Someone requested for coffee and tea too.

Food memories brekky a la Pinoy (Filipino) too heavy never again! Imagine; fried rice, longganisa, fried tuyo, scrambled eggs, sunny side egg, and for dipping vinegar with chili spicy of course plus tea and coffee Jesus Christ! What unhealthy life style never again!


The day we visited the place where my mother came from. NABAS, AKLAN and since we were already in the Malay island of course we experienced Bora or Boracay, Antique particularly Idio and Tibiao too. At the same time reunited with my cousin Chona aka Ching and her kids. Had a wonderful time with relatives and the place is wonderful. How the order you eat your food affects your health:  Studies says; starting our meal by eating vegetables and protein, keeps us fuller than if we ate first carbohydrates.

In this situation today, I got home went direct in my kitchen prepping my soup; boiled some water in a pot dropped some carrots, added beef broth cube, let the carrot half way done then I added napa cabbage and fine noodles before serving dropped two eggs. That was my first meal today after six hours of duty. So all-in-one carbohaydrates because of noodles, some veggies, and eggs for protein. I ate with some Rye wholecorn crispbread with butter. Eating the same food in the opposite order will not feel better after a meal specially for type 2 diabetes. In my today’s situation in which my meal is all-in-one, I don’t think it is the right way to control my blood sugar levels. Blood sugar normally rises after eating, but for people with diabetes it can spike dangerously.  People who spend longer preparing food are healthier, what I did today was a very quick cooking!  Just to have it fast in my stomach.
