🇵🇭KALABASA UKOY NA MAY HIPON/ SQUASH “UKOY” WITH SHRIMPS

👩‍🍳I remember those times when I was a little girl in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. My late nanay (mother) used to buy it from any “carinderia” near our house. My cousin Ching2 and I love to finish them all with dunking sauce composed of vinegar, chopped garlic and a little bit of powdered pepper. hmmm…….we love it! For sure if she will read this Blog of mine nowadays, she’ll agree with me.

YOU NEED…….

1/4 Head Squash

a handful Beans Sprout

1 1/2 cup Flour

1 1/2 cup Cornstarch

1/3 cup Mama Sita’s Palabok Shrimp Gravy Mix

3/4 cup cold Water

2 pieces Carrot, shredded

1/4 cup scallions

12 pieces Shrimps, peeled and deveined

1 piece Tofu, cut lenghtwise

some Olive Oil

FOR DIPPING:

3tbsps Sweet and Sour Sauce

2tbsps Vinegar

pounded Garlic
