👩‍🍳What a day for all of us. Hiking goals in Purkersdorf Natur Park with hubby and daughter. Around the nature park- uphill and downhill. The Purkersdorf Natur Park is easily accessible by car and train, and in addition to several animal enclosures, also has a lookout point or view Deck which is made out of wood.

Hiking goals, looking for wild mushrooms

Looking for mushrooms. We learned something today about mushrooms. From edible one to poisonous one. Biologists actually say that mushrooms are more like animals than plants. If you walk through the forest with common sense, you see trees, shrubs, grasses and mushrooms growing in between, then they also grow upwards like a tree. So you might think that mushrooms are also plants. But then you immediately notice a few differences. Mushrooms cannot. If you put it negatively, they are parasites, just like animals and humans. We don’t get our energy from sunlight, we have to eat; we gain energy by chemically breaking down existing biomass. And this is how the mushroom works it also feeds by breaking down and metabolizing foreign biomass. Either dead plant remains that he gets out of the ground, or he immediately attaches himself to the living plant and enters into a kind of partnership, a symbiosis. But the important thing is that it breaks down foreign biomass, just like animals. Therefore the mushroom is not a plant.

CARROT 🥕 SOUP with CREAMY HERBS 🌿

👩‍🍳Here is a great recipe for all soup lovers. The carrot soup with ginger tastes spicy and incredibly delicious. Mix with creamy herbs such as parsley, dill and chive plus goat cheese makes even tastier. A simple recipe, even for beginners. For those who are not new here, Sunday is soup day in my kitchen. Carrot soup with creamy herbs

600g Carrot 🥕

150g Potato 🥔

1 Onion 🧅

1 Ginger about 3cm

5tbsp Olive oil

800ml Vegetable broth

A handful Parsley

1tbsp Dill

2tbsp Chive

1/2 Lime juice

200g Goat Cheese

STUFFED SQUID 🦑

👩‍🍳This is my version of vegetable stuffed squids. Succulent tender squid stuffed with potato, carrot, green peas, onion, garlic, chopped parsley, and chopped boiled eggs, cooked in sour cream to perfection. STUFFED BELL PEPPERS

👩‍🍳Stuffed bell peppers with tomato sauce is a classic recipe from Austrian cuisine. It tastes simply delicious. Have yourself a try of this great recipe. Tasty, stuffed peppers with gouda and cheddar cheese are definitely worth to taste. A wonderful recipe made from minced meat and rice. Bring variety to your table a great recipe for the whole family. Cooked in sour soup with Magic Sinigang Sampalok with Gabi mix from the Philippines.🇵🇭 Added onion 🧅 tomato 🍅 romaine lettuce 🥬 scallions, some water for soup seasoned with salt.🧂

OVEN CHICKEN ASADO EMPANADA

👩‍🍳My very own version of making EMPANADA, actually another version. Filipino empanadas usually contain ground beef or chicken meat, potato, chopped onion, and raisins somewhat similar to the Cuban “picadillo” in a sweetish wheat flour dough. Some Filipinos are not partial to the sweetish flavour notes and prefer empanadas that are closer to the Hispanic versions. There are doughy baked versions, as well as flaky fried versions. Often, to lower costs, potatoes are added as a filler, and olives– relatively expensive in the Philippines—are omitted.

My oven chicken asado empanada

YOU NEED…….

1 whole Chicken breast

1tbsp Cornstarch, dissolved in cold water

2tbsp Olive oil

4 cloves Garlic

1pc Red Onion

some Fresh ground Pepper

1tbsp Sugar, for Chicken breast

2tbsp Soy Sauce

3 pieces small Bay leaves

2 beaten Egg Yolk

1kg Flour

250g Margarine 🧈

1tsp Salt 🧂

1 Cup of Sugar

18g of Baking powder

1 Cup of Water, cold

ARROZ CON POLLO

👩‍🍳Since rice is relatively neutral in taste, it is an ideal combination for the spicy spices of Mexican cuisine. Even dishes cooked Poco Picante goes well with simple, cooked rice. To add a little extra pizzazz, white rice is often cooked with a little chili powder. It is advisable to start with a teaspoon of the mild chilli powder per cup of uncooked rice. The quantity and character of the chili powder can then be adjusted to suit your own taste. I added Sambal Oelek instead. This rice is an ideal combination to omelettes, meat-like chicken, Asada, and pork chops. Spanish rice or Mexican rice is richer. Here the rice is cooked in chicken broth with turmeric seasoned salt. My version of ARROZ CON POLLO

YOU NEED…….

300g Chicken according to your preference, I use chicken wings

3 cups of Rice

1tsp Sambal Oelek

100g Olive

150g Green Peas

1 Onion 🧅

4 cloves Garlic 🧄

1tbsp Turmeric powder

1 can of peeled Tomato

500ml Chicken Broth, or just enough to cook the rice and chicken

3tbsps Olive oil or any vegetable oil

Salt to taste

BULGOGI EGGPLANT

👩‍🍳Bulgogi is a Korean recipe made from beef, sesame seeds and rice that is cooked in a wok. But I go well with eggplant too. Try it. The eggplant is a healthy vegetable and impresses with its purple colour. Eggplant inspires with their purple colour. Since they hardly have their own taste, they look good in almost every dish. In order for the taste buds to be perfect, a few things should be considered when processing. Eggplants mostly in Germany are also known as egg fruit, plum, eggplant or Spanish eggs this is very suitable for roasting, steaming, filling and baking in foil or as a puree. do you know that 100 grams of eggplant have only 4 g of carbohydrates, almost no fat and only 25 calories. Eggplant actually comes from India but have been at home in European latitudes since the 17th century. Italy and Spain, in particular, are among the main growing countries. How to know if eggplant is fresh: Make sure you have smooth, shiny skin and a crisp green stem when buying.

OVEN TROUT/ RON (son) VISITED us YESTERDAY

👩‍🍳Fish not only provides a lot of vitamins but also a lot of high-quality protein. Fish should be eaten at least twice a week, although the trout are particularly recommended due to its high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids. The trout in the oven tastes very aromatic. A recipe that just works as simple as that. You just need 5 ingredients for this recipe namely rosemary, flour, olive oil, salt and pepper.

QUARTER POUNDER with ONION GRAVY

👩‍🍳So what is this all about? Quarter Pounder is a hamburger, a 100% Beef Patty. I made without cheese just red onion gravy, green lettuce, ox heart tomato and the sauce are made out of sweet onion bacon sauce and catsup. Because a quarter pounder with cheese is caloric enough doubling that sandwich gives you a half-pound of beef and more saturated fat than you need in a day.
