BERLIN, A DAY IN OUR LIFE

Last two weeks ago my family and I we are in Berlin. Where the final champions league for football cup was held. Berlin is the capital of Germany as many knows, and one of the 16 states of Germany. Berlin is Germany’s largest city. It is the second most populous city proper and the seventh most populous urban area in the European Union.

BERLIN a day in our life!

The first thing we did is to take a tour to discover Berlin’s most iconic place, the BERLIN WALL!
At night we pick up hubby from his job site and we visited the BRANDENBURGER TOR.

We had our late dinner at Berliner Republik Restaurant near Brandenburger Tor! A traditional berliner dishes; braised ribs with mashed potatoes, pickled cabbage and thyme gravy, half a Brandenburger duck fresh from the oven with red cabbage, potatoe dumpling and gravy and meatballs in a white caper sauce with boiled potatoes and beet root salad.

Our next stop was shopping at one of their famous hypermarket chain where you can get food stuff cheaper than Vienna, KAUFLAND!
Then we had our lunch here a Vietnamese restaurant inside Kaufland. Noodles loaded with veggies and chicken breats.

We made some shopping inside ALEXA, a shopping center at Alexenderplatz the second biggest shopping center in Berlin!
The 2.5 hectares engaging shopping center lies southeast of Alexanderplatz between Alexander and Dircksenstraße and the parallel light rail to the Voltaire Street on the site of the former Berlin police headquarters. One could get here through S-Bahn S5, S7 and S75, U-Bahn U2, U5 and U8, Strassenbahn M2, M4, M5 and M6, Omnibus 248, and Schnellstrassen 1, 2 and 5 if you are on the way with private car just like us.

Here with my son a promenade at Alexanderplatz!
A large public square and transport hub in the central Mitte district of Berlin. Alexanderplatz has been subject to redevelopment several times in its history, most recently during the 1960s, when it was turned into a pedestrian zone and enlarged as part of the German Democratic Republic’s redevelopment of the city centre. It is surrounded by several notable structures including the Fernsehturm (TV Tower), the second tallest structure in the European Union. Source wikipedia.org

It was a short but a memorable tour for us around Berlin, so grateful to our daughter who drove us from Vienna to Berlin and vise versa Berlin to Vienna with 681 kilometers and 7 hours and 19 minutes drive not including the time for rest or pause!
