CABBAGE AND SAUSAGE (KOHL MIT KNACKWURST)

Kohl is cabbage Brassica is a genus of plants in the mustard family (Brassicaceae). The members of the genus may be collectively known either as cabbages, or as mustards. Crops from this genus are sometimes called cole crops, which is derived from the Latin caulis, meaning cabbage.Almost all parts of some species or other have been developed for food, including the root (swedes, turnips), stems (kohlrabi), leaves (cabbage, brussels sprouts), flowers (cauliflower, broccoli), and seeds (many, including mustard seed, oilseed rape). Some forms with white or purple foliage or flowerheads, are also sometimes grown for ornament.

YOU NEED…….

* 1 whole cabbage
* some cornstarch
* 250 g boiled potatoes
* 6 cloves garlic
* 1 onion
* 1tsps. caraway seeds
* some butter
* 200 g ham cubes
* salt and pepper
* 4 pcs. sausages (Knackwurst)

HOW TO…….

CHECK IT OUT THE VIDEO!

1.) In boiling salt water cook cabbage for about 2 minutes.

2.) Roast in melted butter onions, garlic and ham, until blend and complete by adding salt and pepper.

3.) Add the boiled potatoes and sour cream, make it thicker with corn starch.

4.) In a pan fry the breake sausages, halved. Serve hot with bread.
